Now the league is trying to recover from perhaps its worst off-season ever. Former league treasurer Richard Dunlap is charged with using the league's bank debit card over a four year period to pay for child pornography over the internet. “Disgusted which turned into anger," said Eric Klotzbach in describing his reaction to the charges against Dunlap. “Our main concern is the safety of the kids in our league. As far as we know there's no worry of that, according to the authorities." Board members say they were shocked upon learning of Dunlap's secret lifestyle. He is also accused of using league funds to pay for a family vacation to Disney World.
Elizabethton H.S. Band Leaves For Disney World.
The Elizabethton High School Band heads to the happiest place on earth. 110 band members will board buses to Disney World 6p.m. tonight for a performance Thursday evening in the Magic Kingdom. The students will join the Disney Performing team as they march down Main Street. Band instructor Perry Elliot says the ensemble will play a jazz piece entitled "The Land of Makebelieve" by Chuck Majnoni. Their performance will be part of the last parade of the week before the theme park closes Friday night for a senior classmen celebration Elliot says Elizabethon High School Band tries to do this every other year. They submitted a performance tape to get selected. .

Anniston Woman Convicted Of Battery For Disney World Beating
An east Alabama woman faces up to one year in jail for beating a woman at Walt Disney World. Victoria Walker, 51, of Anniston was convicted of battery and could spend up to one year behind bars. Walker said she beat another woman after the woman cut in front of her in line for a Disney ride. Walker is scheduled for sentencing on April 23. .
Fortune Smiles On Disney World Couple
A Massachusetts family never thought they'd get their valuables back after accidently throwing away three platinum and diamond rings at Disney World. Housekeepers voluntarily found them in a trash bag after digging through a number of bags at the resort. Paul and Karen Campanale had already left the hotel to catch their bus home when the rings were found. Hotel employees tracked them down and returned the rings to them.
